I don't think that is quite right, in the sense that when presenting the marriage certificate you need to present both the original document and the translation into English. In other words, give them the opportunity to do their own translation if they wish, or to accept the translation that has been offered.Obviously if you live in the UK,you will need to provide a translated version to government officials,because most of them will not understand the Urdu version.
