Application as a parent of British citizens

Post by Darldee1 » Sun Oct 21, 2018 8:35 am

Hi all, my daughter turned 10years last October 2017. She got her citizenship on January 2019 and we submitted application February 2018. Since after the biometric we have no heard or receive any correspondence from the home office. Can someone please advise me, hoe long does it take for the home office to get back to us. However before we put in the application we had an appeal rejected because the lawyer did not make the appeal within the two weeks time frame that was given.
Please we need your advice. Thanks

Do you know what specific application you made/which application form you filed in (FLR(FP), etc)?

What is the previous immigration history in the UK of both parents?

FLR
Previous immigration history is a student visa which appeal was thrown out last year 2017

I will rephrase the question. What is the complete immigration history (with month/year) spanning the entire ten years or more that the parents have been resident in the UK?

FLR
Almost all immigration applications made in the UK are FLR (Further Leave to Remain). Which specific sub-category of FLR did you apply for?

I joined my wife in the UK July 2008 on a dependant visa. Her visa expired 0ct 2009 and we applied for a renewal which was refused base on fees. We were given option of appeal and the home office didn’t reply us for close to 2yrs. We had to compel our lawyer to write the home to find out what is happening to the appeal. The home office reply to inform us that they could not find our file and the appeal we submitted, and requested that we send them tge copies of the appeal for reconsideration which we did. This was also refused again and option of appeal given again, this continues till 2017 when my first daughter turns 10 and got her citizenship then we were advised to put in a new application as a family of a child who is a British citizen which was submitted February 2018. FLR(FP) 10 years route. I hope this will throw some light to our immigration history. Thanks
