Parent Standard UK Visa process

Hi all,

Requesting your guidance on the below,
I have submitted my visa application(Tier 2 Employer Sponsored visa -1 year contract), while my application is in process; can i initiate standard 6months visit visa for my mother as she would be traveling with me. She is housewife and I would be sponsoring her travel and stay expenses.
Could you please guide us what documents are required for her visa process?
