Permanent residence application

Hi, I've been in UK since December 2011. However, I had to travel this year from 9th of July and I will be arriving in UK on 8th of December, is a family trip. So before I didnt apply for my residence permit, but I would like to apply. How many months I can be outside the country for not losing the 6 years already been living in UK?

6 months - so you're fine.
