Personally I thinkthis my difficult, whilst folks have no problem bringing partners over on VV's; others struggle.
The way you are approaching this to me hints at settlement, remember the visit visa is for visiting/touring, not living together.
So I would concentrate on thinking along the lines of a visit, or short holiday. That way you would only need to show finances for what it is - a visit.
But, reading between the lines I suspect you are looking to live together for the full six months term of the visa, for which you'll stuggle to pass the financial test IMO, but even more daunting, the fact the ECO may view the application as an attempt to settle, and deny the visa.
Why not go for a fiance visa?
