refusal of EC application.. Very urgent...

Post by Sangeets77 » Sat May 31, 2008 11:19 am

All,
My EC application has been refused because of maintanace fund...

But i got my approval in Nov'2007 and i applied for EC on 15apr'08...

Will the new rule(i.e. maintaning 2800 pounds in my account) is applicable for me... Or should i send a administrative review request for my application...

Please answer ASAP....

As of April 01, all applications for EC from India on basis of HSMP have to meet the new Tier 1 rules, which includes the maintenance fund requirement. Though this condition has been waived of (to an extent), until 29-Jun, for people applying for leave to remain from within UK, the waiver is not applicable to people applying from India.

If your HSMP approval was granted in November it has probably expired by now, so making a fresh EC application is not a possibility for you. Since you can file an administrative review only within 28 days of receipt of the decision to refuse your entry clearance application, please do so at the earliest if you can and want to.
