Immigration (Health Charge) (Amendment) Order 2018

Post by 90kz11 » Mon Nov 26, 2018 9:57 pm

Good evening all

Thank you for all the useful postings on this website. I'm new to this community, but I can see how much everyone really tries to help each other out.

My question is similar to someone else who asked this, but there was no definitive reply.

Considering that the NHS Surcharge is scheduled to double "some-time" next month, would it be acceptable to pay the NHS Surcharge this week - and submit the FLR visa application in the 1st/2nd week of December?

Or is there a chance that we pay the current rate for the NHS Surcharge, go to submit the visa application in December, and then get rejected because we didn't pay new higher rate?
Wondering whether it would be a straight rejection, or whether they would contact us and tell us to pay the difference.

Would appreciate it if anyone knows this particular topic, and can help us out ! :)

I'll be calling the Visa office tomorrow to ask this question, (Not sure if they will be able to give me a straight answer) but still have to try.
Once I get an answer, I'll be sure to update this post.

Thank you all in advance
Konstantin

The NHS surcharge fee is expected to be increased around the 18th December.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
