EEA FP Family

Dear all

My mother just got visa " D-EEA FP family member to join EU citizen" (my brother). She got 6 months visa and her visa expires in March 2019.

Do we need apply for "Settled and pre-settled status for EU citizens and their families" https://www.gov.uk/settled-status-eu-citizens-families

or before her 6 months visa expires, we need to send it for extension ?

Did your brother neede to show any money sending evidence? if so, how long of transfer documents did he submit for your mom's application?
