Need a Visa for my soon to be wife to move to UK

hi i hope i am doing this right

me and my fiance Jen are getting married in USA in April 09

i need to know what forms and information i require for my then wife

*who is a USA citizen to come live in uk with me*

i really dont have a clue about all the forms and documentations at all
and really need your guidance.

i have a Mortgage *so have a place for me and Jen to live when she moves over *
i have a job 10+ yrs working for Marks and Spencers *so can support us till she has a job*

all i want is for me and my fiance to be able to live in UK as a married couple we are Marrying in April in her home town of Grand Island Nebraska

and want to know what forms we need to be together in UK
what we need to show.
1 that we are a ligitament couple
2 that i can support us as a couple till she can work (that we not a burden on governement)

what forms do i require and what evidance do i need

Spouse visa - u apply on line in US and A.

You'll need:

To show u r free to marry if previously married

U have accommodation and can live together there

I can afford it

Not a marriage of convenience

US to UK visa are usually straightforward if she has no bad immigration history, couple of weeks if that.

Oh, and the £500 quid for the first visa, £750 for the second, £600 for citizenship if she wants it. Not cheap!

Have you looked at the British embassy in the US? All the information you need is there. Your wife needs to apply for a spouse visa before moving to the UK:
