Employer verification by INTEGRA

Post by nitmech » Thu Jun 05, 2008 10:27 am

I applied for Tier 1 Visa on 4 June, 2008.

I would like to know from the old applicant about the employer verification from integra screen. Please share your experience here - How integra has tried to verify your employment? When and how they called to your employer? What the questions did they asked to your employer?

Please share your experience here, it will be very helpful for new applicants.

Looks like you are worried about this one, so here's some info. that might help sooth your nerves:-
1. Integra would call / email the person whose contact details you have provided.
2. The questions can be anything related to the information you have provided in your Tier 1 application with regards to your employment with that company (e.g.- gross income / net income, dates of employment, etc.).
3. Integra will not attempt to contact the nominated person indefinitely. If there is no response after a limited number of attempts, Integra will inform BHC that the verification could not be done. In this scenario, please be assured that your application will be rejected.
4. It is wise that you talk to the person whose details you have provided, inform him of your application, that he should expect a call /email from Integra, and that it is critical that he responds to those call(s)/email(s).

I do not however know, if Integra screening is done for all applications or only for applications where there might be some suspicion(s) or done on a completely random basis (quality check).

And please refrain from duplicate posts

regards

sushdmehta,

the details you provided looks fine, but personally i feel this is not the way integra works in verifying application in india.

The Integra almost have the specific contacts points in each n every comp now and they know whom to contact for verification irrespective of what name/detial you provide.this happened to many people who applied for EC and also to me.

Also Integra is a mandatory check which BHC carried out before starting to look in to any applcation.so dont have any second thought like if they verify or not. always think that they will verify and act accordingly..

nitmech,

Provide detials of ur HR and inform ur HR in advance. the reason being the HR normally gets an email/ phone call or both from Integra informing that you applied for a Visa to UK.they ask the HR to confirm ur credentials..so better be smart in letting ur HR know before than later...

I am saying ths from my experience and also have many similar instances of my friends who experienced ths..

all de best

cheers

Well, I got my HSMP before the Integra business started but I would assume that Integra asks for contact details so that the "appropriate" person in the organization can be contacted to verify the details of the applicant. Otherwise, what's the point??

Anyhow, I can also confirm to you that a colleague of mine who applied for HSMP in October 2007 received his approval without any verification attempt, whatsoever, from Integra. He has had his EC application approved recently (3rd week of May) and no Integra verification was done even then. Now don't ask me how he can know for sure if HR was contacted or not .. just take it that he is senior enough in the orgn. hierarchy to have known.

But all said and done, it is better to be well-prepared rather than being not prepared at all.

Integra does the checks for all the applicants. BHC would not even look at the application unless they receive the report from INTEGRA. Know this as I checked with a relative working in BHC (not in VISA section though). BUT even then it is not necessary that INTEGRA actually carries out checks on all the applicants. In my case they verified with the employer but not with the University.

But as Sushdmehta says, its better to be careful and share all the information with HR and sound them.
