ILR SET M Urgent

Post by Stevenmarshal » Tue Jan 08, 2019 5:35 pm

Hello,
Hope you would be able to advise me regarding the issue with my SET M (ILR) application. I will be submitting my ILR application in May 2019, last year I went on holidays for half of the year, returned and provided consultancy services to a client for 3 months until December 2018, I will be paid about £5000 in February (Sole Trader) , I am not registered yet with HMRC however will do in February, in February I will be starting a Part time job 25 hours with a pay 25K (well above the threshold), not sure how would I proceed to combine contract consultancy (sole trader) and my salaried income), moreover how would I cover the holiday period. I can produce the contract for consultancy and potentially two payslips and relevant contract. But I only meet income threshold for the six months as prior six months income is nill. Help please.

Thanks for the response, I am afraid no. she gets paid for tutoring English to children, she makes a couple of hundred in a month. Noting significant.

If you are unable to meet the minimum income level (which it appears you don't), you should consider applying for FLR(FP) Partner route.

Just to clarify, if I sum up my income (Salried+no-salaried) for last six months it would be well above £9300.

Sorry Can I ask another question, if you do not mind. How can I use my contract consultancy position with additional payment from the client, as currently I am in discussions with client to extend the period a little bit so I can touch the magical figure of £9300 in February, as the contract states it will end in 3 months, is it going to be an issue, as I will be submitting my subsequent job contract so they should not have any issue. But unsure about Category and I have registered with HMRC as well, so soon will be paying relevant taxes and NI too.

ILR SET M Application

Post by Stevenmarshal » Fri Jan 25, 2019 8:30 pm

I have been working for the last six months, self-employed for about 8 months, I have started a new job about a couple of months back (Salary £26200), alongside my self-employment. I am still engaged with self-employement I have earned about £5000 through self-employment and jobs £8000. I am not sure about which catagory is more suitable for me. As I have not left self-employement can I use Option A OR variable income Option B. I will be submitting estimated tax/NI acount as my submission will be due in 4 months, however, my current visa is expiring in a month. Can you help?
