cant spend more than 3 months away

Post by AlisonSmock » Fri Jun 06, 2008 8:54 pm

hi. i am an australian married to a german. i am due to apply for permanent residency soon, but i think there is some rule that says i am not allowed to spend more than 3 months in a year away from europe. my question is, how strict are they on that, and do they really try to investigate how much time i was away. when i go back to australia, they dont stamp my passport, so just by looking at my passport, you wouldnt know i was away from europe. i am concerned because i think i have been away more than the total time allowed.

Where are you living with your German spouse?

Exactly how long have you been away at any one stretch?
