Overseas passport application: question re. courier service

Hi all,

I'm in the process of applying for my first adult British passport after attaining citizenship through form UKF. Regarding the courier service, do HMPO provide the waybill/tracking number after approval or does the courier usually just show up at the specified address? If so, assuming communication from HMPO would be via email?
