I hold Indefinite leave to Enter but I am still struggling to get a job.

My visa situation:-
Firstly entered UK at 2006 to join my mother with ILE. But unfortunately I lost my passport around 2012. So I had to travel back to nepal at 2013 to get a new passport(long story)
I was issued with ILE (at nepal) as a returning resident at nov 2013 with a valid until date of may 2014 (6months validity date, apparently this was because I had to enter in UK before the expire date to activate my visa) ....too confusing.

My passport doesn’t expire until 2023, which holds the expired ILE(which in my knowledge, expiry date for ILE is only there cuz they can’t issue a visa without one. But it doesn’t mean it has expired)

Right, I have settled back at UK aroud December 2013. Since then, I have worked consistently and travelled in and out of country more then 10 times, with no issue.
Like wise I have just got back from my travelling and I am looking for a new job. But every organisation I get hired for, doesn’t think that my ILE is a valid work permit. I have got nothing else to show them.
Because my visa was issued on 2013, my visa was never issued with a Biometric Resident Permit Card. With my independent research, I thought I discovered that I won’t need one until my passport runout. But am I wrong? Am I suppose to have one now? Was I suppose to have one when I was working previously?
Have I been working illegally the whole time?
Have I been travelling illegally?
Why are company struggling to read my visa?

I don’t know wats going on.. ahhh :?

Every time I do some research, I feel like I am in a right. But constant rejection has made me double think that I might have been wrong the whole time.

Try this and see what the check says...

My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

Nothing wrong with your ILR, just employer want BRP card as proof of right to work.
You need to apply and everything will be alright.
