TRavelling to EU with IRL

Post by 998570 » Wed Jan 23, 2019 9:02 pm

Heya, I have a daughter who wants to go on a trip to spain with her school, she has the Indefinete leave to remain and biometric card, neither of her parents are british citizens and because she hasnt left the uk in 11 years, her old burmese passport has expired and she no longer has valid proof of nationality. Ive applied with the home office for citizenship in december since she is under 18 and i was told she didnt need to wait 1 year naturalisation??? The home office has not yet replied. Her school trip is in march. i am unaware of how she can go on the trip with just the indefinite leave to remain, does she need a shetgen visa? travel document? HELP. ThANKYOU

She needs a valid Burmese passport and a Schengen visa to travel to Europe. ILR status is not recognised in Europe as it is issued under the UK law only.
