Tier 2 Query

Post by pratatwork » Fri Feb 08, 2019 8:06 pm

Hi All. Need some guidance.

I am on Tier 2 ICT. Visa valid till 12th feb. I applied for an extension under Super Priority and Extension is approved. I have a very urgent Travel to do but there is no deadline on BRP. It may be delayed due to NINO. Now as my earlier BRP is valid till 12th Feb, can I travel on that and my lawyers who helped me with documents collect BRP and courier it to me in India so that I can come back without hassle.

Why do you think there will be a delay due to NiNo?
You already have NiNo I guess, so ideally there shouldn't be any delay due to it.

Anyways BRP is more crucial when you renter UK. Btw, when did you submit your application and what's the published lead time on getting your BRP if applied via super priority?
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.

Thanks for the reply. I did not have NINO earlier as my ICT was for 6 Months. I submitted on 1stFeb for 5th Feb appointment. Got revert within 24 Hrs.

Also I think delay is as per BRP delays happening by HO.

But is it possible to courier BRP

Ah in that case yes there could be a delay due to NiNo by upto a month or two.

If your correspondence address in the application was that of your solicitor then he/she may receive the BRP, however, I've seen on this forum that it was sent to applicant address, which complicated things as applicant was not available to sign and take the postal delivery.

If you could avoid travel then better but if unavoidable then wait for other suggestions from senior members before you travel.

Thanks. The BRP will go to Lawyer as that is the address mentioned. Given that my Travel is super urgent seeking help to get views on my query.
