IHS Refund

Post by drshashi » Fri Feb 15, 2019 1:02 am

Hey there, I was on a tier 2 visa with a particular NHS trust till march 2020, but I recently changed my visa in December 2018 as I got a new job with new sponsor. My question is Am I eligible for a IHS refund for one year left on my old tier 2 visa.? The regulations are not clear in gov. UK website. Sorry if someone's asked same question before. I didn't get the answer from the forum topics.

Thanks

You will not get a refund if:

your visa application is successful but you do not come to the UK
you leave the UK before your visa ends, for example to make a new application
you’re told to leave the UK before your visa expires
you’re applying for indefinite leave to remain or changing to another visa where you do not need to pay the IHS
