It took 15 days for the approval letter to arrive. We received a reminder from the council this morning advising us to book the appointment urgently, failing which the paper work will be returned to the Home Office. It will be good if Home Office can review their strategy of sending approval letters by second class post. It is adding unnecessary complication to the process.

As I have asked my MP’s help mid January, he received a letter from Home Office saying that my application was approved on the 7th of February. He kindly forwarded this letter to me.
I don’t know why did the decision letter take 10 days to arrive, but the waiting was nerve wracking.
