i came here in january 2005 as a student and was working in pakistan before that. I submitted 12 moth salary slips from january04 to december 04. tax year in pakistan is june to july therefore submitted tax return from july03 to june04. it is covering only 6months jan04 to june04. for the rest of the months i have submitted tax challans for each months with official tax stamp from authority. these challans for each month shows the total gross salary and total tax deducted for each month.
kmore i can try to arrange a bank statment but it will take some time. my case might be allocated in one week time.
i have submitted explaination about the tax and salary for 12 months in excel sheet for caseworker's understanding. i understand it is a bit complexed but not very difficult for him to understand if he check it carefully and read my explaination in excel prinout...wat do u suggest kmore??? please comment
headley wrote:Thanks Vipul and chakde23.
Passport stamp says valid June 11 until 30th May.
If it was stamped June 11 that would mean I got it next day. Hm.......
They sent a another letter verifying my points but that one is dated May 30th.

Lokesh said that u can not submit payslips and tax returns as both consider from the same source but how come these r from same source, payslips are from employer and tax returns stamped by the tax authorities with covering letter from tax authorities that applicant has paid that much tax in this year on the IT headed paper.
Yes employer submits the tax returns but to tax authorities and tax authorities confirms it by stamping and letter. and in Pakistan most of the times employee takes salary cash in hand and at the end of the tax year he submits his tax returns on his own by self assessment criteria. in any case tax returns are consider from tax authorities not from employer, coz u r paying tax to IT office not to employer.
so payslips and tax returns fulfill the evidence requirement.
and u can submit payslips along with tax returns if it corroborate the exact period u r claiming.
in ur case i think (my opinion) CW shud giv u points for 6 months from Jan04 to June04 because tax returns corroborate that period with payslips i dnt know about tax challans CW would consider it or not?if CW accepts challan as an evidence then well n gud but if GOD forbid CW doesnt accept that then
HO will consider 15 months period before u become full time student and they take any 12 consecutive months from these 15 months and earnings assessed on how much u earn in ur whole working period not per month and doesn't matter u earned in 12 months or in 6 months, if ur total earnings in six months are enough to get required points then it shud work, so u can show ur earnings from oct03, so if u call HO and discuss this with dem and send dem more three payslips for 0ct03, nov03 and dec03, and they already got ur tax returns for that period.
according to ur salary 55000/month
in 6 months = 330000 = GBP2870 (if in 2004 GBP1=Rs115) = which is equivalent to 15209GBP
so according to 6 months situation u cant get any point for previous earnings but
in 9 months = 495000 = GBP4304 (if in 2004 GBP1=Rs115) = which is equivalent to 22813GBP
according to 9 months earnings u can get 15 points.
so if these 15 points can take u to the total of 75 then dont waist a minute and fone HO and discuss this and send them three payslips with covering letter ASAP.
if these 15 points are not enough then leave all the things on ur luck and pray for the best.

vipul1981 wrote:notty dont say with so much confidence that tax returns and payslips are not from same source.
They very well can be from same source. for instance in UK, tax return form P6o is considered as same source as pay slips. Although tax is pais to tax office.
2ndly in Amirs case, his application does look quite vague.
My advice to him is to keep the bank statements ready, just incase he needs it.
Its not about right or wrong , point here is to convince the CW. It has been seen in recent past that many applicants have been declined because of this.

Yes , you arte right.
Pay slips are from the employer n IT from Tax authority. So defently they are from different sources.
As far as Ammirmalik case is concern if he can manage his Bank statement, i think its Good 4 him ( in case CW contact him for supp. document).
Im not sure whether he can send now additional supporting document to BIA. If he can, so he have to make it( to avoid the risk). As we has seen the cases in april this Year, applicant got rejection on Tax document. so thats shows us BIA CW's need clear document.

could u plz tell me about those cases which r refused becoz of tax documents, did CW mention that u haven't provided two evidences from separate source.
may b in those cases tax returns didnt reflect the exact period which they r claiming for. just like amirs case his tax returns is not reflecting the exact period.
i foned HO and asked that u r considering payslips and tax documents r from same source or it fulfills the requirement then they said yes it fulfills the requirement if it corroborate exact period and it is mention in policy guidance as well.
tell me about those cases what r the reasons of refusal.it may increase my knowledge. coz sometimes HO said something else n facts r something else. i experienced that by foning HO, two three times i foned n asked that for self employed person within company structure u consider gross income or net profit then they said gross income, gross income, gross income but in guidance policy it is clearly mention that points should b given on net profit then i called again n asked again he said again that on gross income then i said plz open the policy then after reading policy he was saying yes its not on gross income its on net profit.
so plz tell me about those cases which r refused on tax documents, what r the reasons of rejection mention there.

Kind Regards,
