HR Letter (is this ok)

Hello All

I am very confused on one requirement for the letter from the HR office "the period over which the person has been paid the level of salary stated in their application" my contract has changed about 5 times over the last year, this was due to xxxx removing nightshift in my store. I moved from a 39-hour contract to 18, then over the next few months, I got my contract up to 39 hours again but with multiple contract changes. Even when I went to an 18-hour contract I still worked around 39 hours because there was always overtime available. On my current contract which I signed in September 2018, I earn £18,967 but over the last 12 months, I have due to overtime earned £19,117.28. Am I not sure what they are asking?

Does this mean 12 months as I have 12 months of payslips. ?

How long have you been paid your current salary. That is what it means

As fas as I am aware of, the pay that the application needs you to fill in and the pay that HO is predominantly interested in is the 'Basic Pay', which should also be stated clearly in your employment letter. I don't think overtime is taken into consideration when HO decides if financial requirement is met. Also, most payslips have two line items if you are paid overtime, one for basic pay and another one for overtime - is it not the case?

It is the basic pay that matters. Ignore overtime or extra pay

My understanding is to calculate my yearly wage the HO will add up 6 months of my payslips divide that by 6 and multiply that by 12. However, I get paid every 4 weeks meaning 1 full year of income is coved by 13 pay slips, not 12. So they cannot use this formula on me, what would people recommend, I plan to take all 13 payslips with me that show income of over £18,600 but its only just over at £19,117.28 thanks to overtime, but if you just take my basic wage or contracted wage that figure goes down to £18,608.20 since October 2018. As I am over I had planned to state that I meet the financial requirements by just my wages however as I am so close to the minimum should I state that I will use wages and cash saving to meet the requirements just in case? even if my wages are over £18,600. Any advice would be most welcome.
