Set (LR) application supporting documents

Post by yorkVyank » Wed Feb 27, 2019 7:38 pm

Hello,

I am applying for Set (LR) based on 10 years long residence. I have been here on school related visas for over 10 years i.e. student visa 2008-2010, post study Tier 1 2009-2011 and Tier 4 2012-2019. My question is I have been asked on the checklist to provide proof of my relationship with my UK partner and his passport. Is this really essential? I have never had a partnership visa or done any of the 5-10 year partner route applications with him. I can prove that we have lived in the same address for 2 years but I really don't want to ask him to give up his passport for up to 6 months if I don't have to. Can anyone help?

Under long residence, you are being granted ILR considering ONLY your lawful residence in the last 10 years. Your partner/spouse circumstances are irrelevant under this route
