British Citizenship Qualify period

Post by alibinshad » Mon Mar 04, 2019 12:22 pm

Dear All,
I am going to apply for my mother British Citizenship and have a question about her qualify period.

She got ILR in 2010 but she was unable to pass her English exam and life in the UK tests due to her age, learning and health issues.

She is going to be 65 in May. I am going to apply her BC after day of her 65th birthday to exempt this requirements.
When I check her 5 years qualify period I found
- 5 years back in May 2014 she was no in the UK.
- She came to UK in July 2014

She can not wait till July 2019 and must need to apply her BC in May due to some family issues and she need to travel soon.
Could you please advise can I apply in May or do you think it will be rejected?
Many thanks.

In the guide and all other documents I have seen it says explicitly that presence in the UK 5 years before the application date is the one requirement for which there is no discretion whatsoever. So I imagine it would be rejected. Can she apply after the travel?
