Hi,
Hope someone can help me.
I'm Spanish, I'm going to the UK to look for job there. I've been in a long distance relationship with my Indian boyfriend for 5 years, so we haven't cohabited, but we have other proofs like gifts (Amazon), pics, WhatsApp,... And we intend to get married by this year.
So I would like to know if he could apply for eea family permit as unmarried partner or not, or if someone has tried it and the decision result.
Many thanks!
There is no 'long distance' relationship which will qualify for an EEA extended family member permit as unmarried partners. You are required to submit evidence of a durable relationship 'akin to marriage' which includes documented proof of co-habitation and other joint responsibilities such as shared finances etc. A boyfriend/girlfriend relationship which you have at present, won't be considered.
Marry first and then apply.
