I have a very quick and urgent question.
An application has been made by a father for leave to remain to maintain contact with a child. The person making the application was previously on a spouse visa, but because the relationship has dissolved, and application has been made for LTR for one year in order to demonstrate that contact with the child will continue, before an application for ILR is made at the end of that year.
Because the father is not on the birth certificate, the home office have requested a DNA test as evidence of paternity.
The mother of the child is refusing to bring the child to the DNA test. Is there anything that can be done to make her bring the child?
The DNA test is booked for Wednesday 18th June - we are running out of ideas...
All advice gratefully received.
Thanks....
