EEA FM as part of an application for Registration Certificate

Dear all,

Today we filed an application for Registration Certificate for the whole family. I am the only non-EEA member of the family but the form allows the EEA national to include non-EEA family members in the application. However, I have several doubts:
1. We used the European Passport Return Service, so we kept our passports. As a EEA FM, can I travel abroad and re-enter into the UK? My EEA Family Permit will expire next week. Is it advisable to travel?
2. While my wife and kids (all european) will receive a Registration Certificate, will I receive a Residence Card? Would they call me for the taking of my biometric details?

I will come to the UK with my EEA wife on 29th Morning.

I saw that you mentioned about European Password return service? How does it works? Is it possible to apply without giving my non-EU password?

Shall I ask you to give me the link which from I and my wife need to fill in for the application and then we need to post it to home office i guess? Do you think it is possible to prepare forms and I can post it on 29th of march? How do I use the service without giving password?
