Tier 2 Visa start date

Hi forum,

Am trying to figure out what is the exact start date of Tier 2 Visa if this is the first UK Visa granted to a person that lives outside UK.

There are a few assumptions I am now dancing around:
1. The UK Entry Clearance date - a vignette in a passport, that allows to enter the UK
2. The date the person has arrived to the UK for the first time, using Entry Clearance vignette
3. The date, stated on BRP

Please, could you help untangle this and share, what is the right indication of the Tier 2 Visa start date?

All sorted - found some old documents

The start date is the date stated in the paper letter you receive from UK Visas & Immigration once your application was reviewed. This letter contains both the start and end date of your Tier 2 Visa.

In my case, start date also coincided with the "Valid from" date on my UK Entry Clearance vignette in passport.
