- With this new system they say the application takes between 6 to 8 weeks but be aware that sometimes it can be more than 8weeks like in my case. I had to wait even more than 10 weeks. I am not sure about the reason behind this but when it comes to citizenship the case workers must need in come case to do some extra check and this could take some more extra time.

They told me that they can't make the change but I can still go for for a private ceremony but I will have to contact my council by email and explain that i would like to change from public to private ceremony and I sent the email and provided my contact detail on the email. They council contacted me on the next open day(today in my case) and booked me for today 1pm to do the ceremony and yeah.. It's all done now. I now need to apply for my passport..
