Immigrating to Malaysia,what does it really take?

Post by kabo22 » Sat Jun 14, 2008 10:31 pm

hello everyone,
i have a few questions and i hope you can help me

1)what does it take to become a malysian citizen?
2)what are the restrictions for a foreigner to work in Malaysia? i mean if i find a good job there,send in my cv,get interviewed and the company wants to hire me,can I really go work there for a few years?
3)And if I stay long enough in that job(a good high paying job) how can i get the malaysian citizenship to spend the rest of my life there?

1. why would you want to become a malaysian citizen? where are you from?
2. if you get a company to sponsor your work permit, you can work there legally- depending on how long the work permit is.
3. i suggest that if you managed to get a work permit in malaysia, live there, work there, integrate then decide if you want to become a citizen or not.
You will need to apply for PR before you can apply for citizenship.

good luck

sorry mate, if you think it is hard enough to get a work permit, it is even harder to get a malaysian citizenship or even a PR.
Which country are you from?

PR= Permanent Residence.
