Keep Your Passport When Applying Service

Has anyone ever used "Keep Your Passport When Applying" service when applying for Tier 2?

It says, "You can keep your passport with you until the UK embassy makes a decision regarding your visa, one way or the other. Once the decision is made, you will be called once again to complete the procedures as required by the embassy."

I'll be applying as Dependent of Tier 2 visa.
Any idea how long it takes to get your passport back after submitting your passport?
