EEA EFM questions - sending application tomorrow

Post by violet_1133 » Wed May 01, 2019 11:38 pm

Hi all,

thanks for all the help and support so far!

I have a pretty urgent question regarding page 9 of the application form https://assets.publishing.service.gov.u ... -03-19.pdf . Here the application asks for details of my previous BRPs, however it says :

"In this section, the term ‘residence card (biometric format)’ means a residence card, permanent
residence card or derivative residence card issued under the EEA Regulations after you have
given your biometric information. This is issued as a separate biometric card and not as a
vignette or sticker in your passport, travel document, or other document. "

Does this mean that on page 10 I should tick NO, on the question:

"Have you been issued with a residence card (biometric format) or biometric residence permit
(BRP) in connection with a previous application under the EEA Regulations or for leave to
remain?"

I have only had Tier 2 and Tier 4 BRPs before.

I'm sorry if this is an obvious question, I think the correct answer is no but I wanted to check!

Thanks

2.

Tier 2 & 4 applications are applications for leave to remain and you would have a BRP based on them. Therefore the answer is Yes.

EEA EFM received by HO but no payment taken a week later

Post by violet_1133 » Thu May 09, 2019 11:26 am

Hi all,

Thanks for all the help so far.

I'm (of course) being impatient, but we sent the EEA EFM application on Thursday last week (02/05), it was received and signed for early Friday morning (03/05) but HO are yet to take the processing payment. I've been reading the Timelines Only topic and most people seem to have payment taken 1-2 days after they have sent the application. I know the card details included are correct as we checked 5 times.

I'm basically worried they have misplaced or lost my parcel on the premises. Obviously I'm just thinking the worst and it's probable a lot of applications arrived over the bank holiday.

However, I was wondering if anyone else has had the payment take a bit longer, as well as if there is a number to call to make sure they have the application? I assume I can't call anywhere as I do not have a case number assigned yet so they have no way of confirming my application is being dealt with but I wanted to ask if anyone is in a similar situation.

Thanks!
