is it necessary to have my partner uk citizen passport copies certfied ???before sending them with my application???
it is not mentioned on their web site but read here people having to certfy their passport or people forgot then sending them by fedex

if so ??? how many copies?

I don't know the answer to you question, but regarding certified copy - just pop in to see any high street solicitor. It cost about £5 per page (that's what I paid 4 weeks ago) and I don't think you'll need to certify all pages of the passport.
If you are not told specifically then don't go to the notary as they charge much higher fees.
