Tier 2 General Extension

Dear All,

My Tier 2 (General) Visa expired on Mid March 2019. I applied for extension as I received 6 months extension & CoS from same employer I was working with. I attended Biometric appointment on 3rd April 2019.

Just today I received a letter saying that my application for "Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer: Long Term Staff)
of the point based system" has been approved and I shall receive BRP card in a week's time.

I didn't understand the use of term 'Intra-Company transfer' in this. Does it mean they change my VISA type?

This is my 3rd year on Tier 2. I hope this ICT doesn't mean I restart the clock for ILR. Please help!

Just received information (from a friend) that its just the same Tier 2 general & Tier 2 (ICT). Anyone know if that's how it is ?

Tier 2 general & Tier 2 (ICT) are two different types.
ILR can not be applied under visa Type Tier 2 (ICT)
