question about payment in lieu of notice! HELP!

Post by caling97 » Mon Jun 30, 2008 4:45 pm

Dear all,

I need your favor on another doubt!

I decide to apply for tier 1 at the beginning of July, and as the tier1 guidence said, the redundant payment cannot be counted as income but the payment in lieu of notice is qualified.

I have a doubt that, i want to claim points for the 12-month period from July 2007 to June 2008, I got one month payment in lieu of notice in June, but actually it's the salary for July, and it's paid in June as the payment in lieu of notice for july.

Could anyone kindly tell me whether this payment in lieu of notice can be counted as the income for June 2008, or it should be counted for July?

Thank you very much in advance! Highly appreciate any guidence!:)

Best regards

If you can show you received it in June, just claim it and make the points. It should be regardless of the month it was designed for.

Hope it's not too late.
