Settled Status

Post by Rumplestiltskin » Wed May 29, 2019 9:08 pm

Hi

What does Settled Status document look like? Its just an email or paper or a card like Permanent Residence card ?

Can anyone who is non-eea with Biometric Permanent Residence card & got Settled Status please reply ?

Just want to know if settled status will be another Biometric Card or what ?

Thanks

Depends.
  • If you are EU, you only get an electronic confirmation.
  • If you are non-EU and already have an EEA biometric residence card, then you only get an electronic confirmation. You can still use your existing biometric residence card for travel, etc.
  • If you are non-EU and do not already have an EEA biometric residence card, then you get a physical card that looks almost exaclty as the blue and pink EEA residence card, except it does not say "EU Family member", it says "EU Settlement Scheme" (there are plenty of other types of UK residence card that share the exact same format (pages 8-12.)).

I saw someone post a picture of theirs some time ago on this forum, that's how I know the answer above. However, difficult to remember under exactly what thread, and unless you word your topic subject more specifically ("e.g. Anyone with a Settled Status Card?"), it is unlikely they will pick your message.
My posts express what I believe are the facts, based on the best of my knowledge, about the topics discussed in this forum. They do not constitute immigration advice.
