Can anybody with experience of this situation give advice?:
Wife is a Dutch citizen. Husband is a South African and the breadwinner. Been married for more than 5 years. They live in France. Husband works as a expatriate in a non-EEA country but is home in France for 6 months of the year. Husband only has a Schengen visa as this works well in lieu of a formal French residence permit. Husband is a doctor and can easily find work in the UK but wishes to do this on an ad hoc basis, ie, go over for a few weeks at a time, do a few jobs for different employers, and then return home to France for R&R. Wants to do so repeatedly. How can this be done with the wife acting as the EEA partner, but the wife not actually living full time in the UK? Husband does not want to go the HSMP route.
