My fiancee lives in the US and I live in the UK. The position we are in is relitively simple. She lives within the US and we aim to marry in November this year. The marriage shall take place within the UK. She will be entering the UK in October.
The question i have is :
Which visa would be appropriate, for her to come over, marry and then apply for the UK Marriage Visa? I know already of the Fiancee Visa, however id like to know if there are other possibilities. Obviously the tourist Visa would suffice, however i saw this:
"If you have a visa valid for six months or less in the UK you cannot change status to a spouse visa."
Thus, the tourist Visa would be inappropriate. We need time to marry and apply for the Marriage Visa. So, we need a Visa in the mean time.
Any ideas and suggestions would be fantastic and taken aboard by us.
Thanks again for reading, much appreciated.
