Tier 1 or Working Holiday Visa

Post by nishantchawla » Thu Jul 03, 2008 12:30 pm

I wish to travel to UK and work. I have sufficient points based on my Age/Qualification/Past Earnings but do not have sufficient Maintenance Funds for Me and my Wife (£2800 + £1600). Maintenance Funds can be arranged by redeeming a few FDs/Equity/Mutual Funds (you know the market situation now  ) and by borrowing from family. But I am looking for alternatives  .

 Can I, for the time being travel to UK and work on a Working Holiday Visa and later get a Tier 1 Visa.

:?: How easy or difficult is it to get a Working Holiday Visa and a job, subsequently.

If you travel to UK on a WHM visa, you will not be able to apply for Tier 1 from within the UK. You will have to return to your home country to apply.
