Schengen Visa for Indian who r on Tourist Visa in UK

Hi,

I'm on work permit in UK.My parents are coming from India to UK on Visitor Visa. If they want to go to France & Germany we need a Schengen visa. Does any one has idea that is it possible for an Indian to get a Schengen visa in UK from French consulate or they need to get it done from India?

They would need to apply for their Schengen visas before they leave India.

John, it actually is possible, but it requires a lot more time and effort than for someone who is ordinarily resident in the UK. I refer you to the French embassies website:

Guys, thanx for your replies. i have also mailed to French consulate in London and got the answer
"They should apply for their Schengen visas before travelling to the UK."

so its better to take no risk and get it done from ur home country

Hi,

I have the same situation, i need to bring my parents to UK and show them EU countries.

Have they got Schengen visa? If yes, could you please tell me the procedure how to apply from india?

Should we go through the agent or we can apply ourselves? How long does it take?
