Demand for ABAP'ers in the UK

Hi guys,

This is my first post here. I am considering applying for a working holiday visa sometime this year and was wondering what the job market is like for ABAP'ers in the UK.
There certainly seems to be plenty of jobs for ABAP'ers if I look at the job websites (jobserve etc), but I hear conflicting stories about people in IT that cant find work for months, and other people that say it's fairly easy, so it's difficult to separate fact from fiction. Is it a case of there are plenty of jobs available, but there about 20 applicants for each position?

I have about 5 years ABAP experience and 7 years IT experience in general. Are there any ABAP'ers on this forum who can shed some light on this.
Any advice or information would be appreciated.
