Proof of funds/ police certificate

Hello specialists,
I have 3 questions up my sleeve and believe you could help with good answers.
1. My husband and I have a property and wish to use it as our proof for fund. Which document do we have to use?. ( the house was built not bought.)
2. Acquiring the police report from Ukraine is taking forever. is there any way this message could be carried across or should I send the application and follow up with it later when I receive it?
3. I had a 6.5 in the IELTS detailed as (writing-6, reading-7,speaking 6 and listening 7 ) Will this be okay or must I have average 7?

1. The funds you plan to use for settlement in Canada should be in unencumbered and in transferable form, i.e. cash in the bank, in most cases. Having a house serves well to demonstrate evidence of ties when applying for non-immigrant visa. You can, of course, promise in writing that you intend to sell the house on receipt of immigrant visa, but that would be outside the formal rules.

2. Depending on length and circumstances of your presence in Ukraine or any other country where police certificates are hard to get, you may want to contact your local Canadian dip. post and ask that question directly -- more than often they suggest to apply without that component, and they will then tell you exactly which certificates they want you to do and in what form.

3. Since IELTS itself is recommended but not mandatory, you may explain why you believe your English is sufficient to settle in Canada successfully. Of course, if you feel you can get a better score in the near future, it may be worth it as well.
