Hi I am a parent of an eu child as well how long has your procedure taken altogether as I have tried (via lawyer )to send in my daughter’s application and wait for her outcome before doing mine as I hold no leave to remain at the moment ..will it be better if while hers is in I send my paper application too ?Topsibelle wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2019 9:32 pmUpdate
If you follow my post, I did say l have 2 daughters one British one Irish both minors 16 and 14.
05/06/19 Applied to settlement scheme for my EEA daughter online (l know l don't have to, but using Chen)
05/06/19 COA for her immediately via email
06/06/19 Applied online for myself and hubby for settled status linking us as her family members.
18/06/19 Biometrics done at Croydon
COA pending
I intend to withdraw my Zambrano application when l receive COA for the Chen one. As it is nothing has been heard about our paper application form for Zambrano carers.

Just trying to gauge how long more l have to wait?
Oh dear, l have a bit of issue then as l applied online for chen and l did my biometrics on the 19th June 2019. I have contacted the EUSS scheme twice by email and they keep saying my application has been submitted successfully.sid7867 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2019 4:15 amyou have to apply through paper application.Topsibelle wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2019 7:54 pmFor your Chen derivative residence, did you apply online or with paper application form?Topsibelle wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2019 6:19 pmOh wow congratulations.sid7867 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 06, 2019 5:13 amHi just to update everyone I have received a reply from the home office EU settlement scheme.

please dont make the mistake of applying online as the application will get accepted and you will receive a COA too however the moment it reaches a caseworker you will receive another email saying your application was void as the online cohort does not include chen or derivative right.
Request a paper application.
Hopefully it should take 2 months from the time you send the application to receiving your status
I did biometrics on the 19th June.askmeplz82 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2019 10:21 amThe types of derivative residence rights are as:
Zambrano carers
Chen carers
Ibrahim and Teixeira cases
Zambrano is COMPLEX application. A Zambrano carer is the non-EEA national primary carer of a British citizen . it's not straightforward application.
A Chen carer is a primary carer of a self-sufficient EEA national child.
Ibrahim and Teixeira cases involve either the child of an EEA national worker/former worker where that child is in education in the UK
Please don't mix up

I got the COA on the 20/06/19.
Did you do biometrics at all?
Thank you for this information. I will call them today.sid7867 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2019 1:27 pmHiTopsibelle wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2019 9:19 amOh dear, l have a bit of issue then as l applied online for chen and l did my biometrics on the 19th June 2019. dont worry too much about it.
I've known the EU settlement centre soo well that they're experts at giving immature information to get people off their case for that moment in time.
Best thing to do is when you call ask for a supervisor or manager to speak to.
Also if you've given biometrics then I'd say wait.
I also made the mistake of an online application as I had a biometric residence card under derivative rights. They accepted the application and COA received. each call to the resolution centre, they said things look great. After full 4 weeks I got an email telling me to discard the COA as I dont meet the online cohort and apply via paper.
I did not do biometrics as my current biometric is still valid until 2023
