Hello can any one shed some light on what each stages mean, as in what’s happening at each stage of the process. I’m struggling to see the difference between DMC and VAC.

A little background to my application to help others: bio metric submitted on 24/06/19. Documents self uploaded but advised at VAC centre in Erbil to also send it in. Which I did signed for received by them on the 10/07/2019. No written confirmation of receipt, only proof of postage and signature.
