Urgent help for EC after HSMP approval,,pls Help

Hi Guys,

I need urgent help, if any one out there know anything pls let me know your opinion, I'd really really appreciate.

I've got my HSMP approval & now need to apply for my EC in UK. I'm on student visa which allow me to switch to HSMP. Now, as per EC form, they need(HO) need approval letter, 2 Photos, Passport, Bank statements(for maintainance point), as they have not mentioned about any other documents Do I still have to send college documents or any other college documents covering my study completion, attendance and etc???

What shall I do, just send the basic documents they've asked OR with all my college documents as well???? Do they ask for proof of my studies in UK?? As I can't see anywhere on website asking for all these extra documents...

As I'm awaiting my final Certificate & that will delay whole process, OR should I just send without the any college documents??? I just want this EC done ASAP as I have to travel soon, PLS PLS Advise me URGENT if you have any sort of information......MUCH APPRECIATED.

As a general rule when dealing with the UK authorities the best advice is to provide exactly what you have been asked for, not more and not less. Do not volunteer information.

However, keep the documents at hand in case they ask for them.

Dealing with your EC is mainly ticking boxes like a vending machine. You feed the docs in, machine checks and then spit the ticket out for you!

Though I have one question that I'm really concerned about, Do they normally ask for any extra documents especially for HSMP, if needed? If I don't send with my application, they might refuse it saying based on given avidence they r not satisfied.

Now, when I called I've got two different answer from HO & obviously the person providing the Information will not be checking the application & it will largely depend on the Case Worker...who Knows where will I be heading??

Any suggestion? in case I got refusal, can I appeal for it?
Confused......as on one hand I want it cleared ASAP without any problem & on other hand I've got no time after that in case it stuck some where.....what's the best way!!!!! pls

If you are switching in the UK, you do not need an EC. All you need is another leave to remain.

All they need to see is that you have some money so you can fend for yourself until you find a job (if you do not have one yet). If you have a job, you just send them a copy of your employment contract and payslips + a bank statement. That will be sufficient for them to see that you can maintain yourself. The more money you have on your bank account, the better.

If you do not have a job yet and you are an HSMP holder, you are considered to be able to find it soon. You need to show that you have enough money to maintain yourself for a few months - 5-6 grand will be enough.

Transitional arrangements for those with an HSMP approval letter
If you have already got an HSMP approval letter, but have not applied for permission to enter or stay as a Highly Skilled Migrant, you will automatically score points for your attributes and for English language because you have an HSMP approval letter.

You must fill in all other appropriate sections of the relevant application form, including the maintenance (funds) section.

You willl be charged a reduced fee for your application under the highly skilled worker category.

HSMP approval letters are valid for a period of six months from the date of issue.

All you need to send (with your application) is your HSMP approval letter (original) and evidence of maintenance funds.
