Here is my timeline:

25th June- Online Application
28th June- Biometrics (Chandigarh, India)
29th June- email confirming receipt of Visa application by Sheffield Decision Making Office

And since then I have been waiting for a decision. I mailed the university to check if my CAS number had been marked as 'used'. Apparently it has been marked as used on the 10th of July.

Mailed UKVI to check my application status and waiting for a reply.

Strangely enough there was no credibility interview conducted for me by VFS. Neither have I received a phone call in all this time.

What about you guys? I guess I am applying earlier than most.

Hello, my timeline as below:

2nd July: Submitted online application (Standard)
4th July: Biometrics & Email from Sheffield later in the day
16th July: Email from VFS to collect documents
17th July: Collected visa

Notes:
- I'm a low risk national (Malaysia) and applying under the tier 4 pilot scheme
- Previous successful Tier 4 applicant for undergraduate degree & no overstaying
- Uploaded all my documents electronically through VFS and therefore only submitted my passport

11th July: Got a reply from UKVI to my email enquiry that a decision has already been reached.
15th July: Notification from VFS to collect my passport.
15th July: Collected passport with the visa vignette inside.

I guess UKVI isn't conducting a credibility interview now.

The wait is over for me. Hopefully others here get their visa soon.

yay always great to apply early, last time I only managed to apply in late August, paid for priority which still took 13 days and I got my visa two days before I was supposed to fly

The CAS is marked as used when your application has been reviewed and the Entrance Clearing Officer has come to a decision. If it is still not marked as used, it implies that your application still hasn't been considered by an ECO.

Yes it was a standard process. I did not get an appiointment so I went for walk in to give my biometrics. I received my Visa On Saturday!
To be honest I was bit scared, as I did not receive any SMS or Email updates after the first notification. I had thought of checking with the university for CAS status on Monday but not required now.

Online application date: 19th July, 2019.
Biometrics and interview at Gerrys: 23rd July, 2019
Acknowledgement email that application received at decision making centre Sheffield on the same day 23rd July.

Fingers Crossed now ! Can't wait to have our decision.

Do they check the pound rate on the day of online application. Or the rate of each 28 days separately. The rate on 19th July was 198.55 according to that my funds for both of us are sufficient. Will be check all 28 days according to this rate ?

The rate of pound conversion is checked from oanda.com on the day you submit your online application.
