Buy/sell online stocks

Hi,

I am currently on Tier 2 (Employer Sponsored) visa. I would like to know, whether it is allowed or not for a tier 2 visa holder to buy/sell stocks online from personal account. In this regard, I did not find clear UKBA guidelines that suggests whether allowed or not. Any guidance will be highly appreciated. Thanks.
