EU Settlement Scheme or Permanent Residence

Hi there-
I am currently starting to apply to Naturalise as a British Citizen but just realised my permanent residence card expires at the end of October. I am the spouse of an Irish passport holder and am not sure if I:

A) need to apply for a new residence permit
B) should apply instead for the EU settlement Scheme
C) do neither and wait for my UK naturalisation process to go through.

fyi-I need to travel for a week at the end of September.

Any advice would be most appreciated.
