Polish Embassy

Post by laodan100 » Sun Jul 06, 2008 9:09 am

I know a foreign national who needs a visa for Poland for a wedding. The Polish embassy website says "application (sic) may be submitted personally or by a member of a family" Now this seems highly ambiguous. If it said 'member of family' then I would take that to mean my own family. Does anyone know if an application can be made on our behalf from a friend i.e a member of another family?

I can't say for sure, but I would suggest that you would be very foolish to try to play a game of semantics regarding visa applications.

As everybody who was ever born is a member of a family, I think it follows that what the Polish embassy means is that an application may be made by a member of the applicant's family.
