Hi,

I got notification that my appeal is allowed!!! Sigh of relief but I know the ordeal is not over till I step out of Manchester Ringway with all my hair intact... So now what happends next, AIT website isnt very clear about the things I need to do now

Thanks

The Adjuticator who heard your appeal will notify both you and the Home Office of his decision. since you have won the appeal the Home Office will be given an opportunity to appeal against the decision within 28 days of recieving the notice. It is very unlikely they would unless there has been a major error.

If they do not decide to appeal, they will send the information to teh Emabssy where the initial application was made to instruct them to issue the visa.

depending where you applied will determine how long it will take to issue the visa. i know in the Indian subcontinent it can take as much as 3 months before you actually have the visa stamped in your passport and then you have a further 28 days from th eissue of the visa to fly to the UK.

Hope this helps

hello batleykhan,

have you been through the appeal process before? if so, what happened? - my husband is appealing but im hearing many conflicting stories - even by ppl at the AIT. we submitted it about 2 weeks ago but have heard nothing yeT. do you know how long its likely to take? also, if u appeal at post, can the ECM review the docs and overturn their initial decision without sending the docs to AIT and if so, how long does this usually take?

sorry for all the questions - i hope you dont mind,
