Travel During Visa Extension in Process - Refund for Online Tier 2 Application Before Biometrics Submission

Post by raheem_ehsan » Sun Sep 08, 2019 2:39 pm

Hi Everyone,

I have submitted the online standard Tier 2 Extension application for myself and my wife. Our current leave expires on 27th Sep 2019. I have made the payments (IHS and visa application fee) and booked the appointment for 17th of September at one of the enhanced UKVCAS centre.

I have two questions,

1) My wife is pregnant and would like to give birth to the child back in India. By the time we hear back from UKVI she will already be around 32 weeks pregnant and hence a risky period to air travel. Can she travel to India whilst the application is under process (before or after the current leave expires)???. Technically, we do not require to request the passport from the UKVI. Once we get the new BRP, I can arrange it to be sent it to her at the time of her return.

2) If I choose to cancel the application and send her back to India (before the current leave expires) I would then need to cancel our application and resubmit with only my application. I know that her ILR cycle will reset and I am fine with that and she would need to apply for fresh leave to enter along with the baby. My questions is, how do I cancel the application and will I get refund for both of ours application fee and IHS? Please note that we have not attended the UKVCAS centre for biometrics appointment yet as it is few more days ahead from today.

I really would appreciate your help in this tough times for me. I am being torn apart with the amount of stress for this extension application considering the circumstances that I am in. Please help me with detailed answers to my requested questions.

Sincere thanks to you all.

Ehsan
