Dividend Issues

Post by kank » Mon Sep 09, 2019 4:54 pm

Hi, Could anyone give me some advice please.
I am planning to apply for FLR (M) visa extension for my wife and my son (6years old) in the beginning of Nov 2019.

To fulfil our financial requirement we are going for Category F (Our salary + Dividends) because I am a director of our limited company where me and my wife are both 50% share holders. With our salary plus dividends we can exceed our financial requirement. However we have noticed that the sum of the money on our dividend vouchers does not match with our bank transactions (from business bank accounts to our personal bank accounts) in fact the total amount on the vouchers are a few thousand pounds more than the total amount of the bank transactions for our dividends. Nevertheless the amount of bank transactions for our income (salary and dividends) on our bank statements is more than enough to satisfy our financial requirement. Could this be an issue?

The reason for the difference is because once the dividend was given to me only, not to my wife by mistake but my accountant has issued two dividend vouchers (one for me and one for my wife) even though the transactions for the dividend money cannot be seen on both my wife personal bank statements and our business bank statements. My accountant has said to me that he can make a legal document stating that the company owes my wife the dividend money which is totally acceptable and the dividend money was eventually paid to my wife one month after our company account period. Regardless of this dividend mistake we can fulfil our financial requirement.

Lastly, what about the difference between the payment dates on the vouchers and the actual bank transaction dates for the dividends? Would this be a problem too?

Please give me some advice.

Many thanks,
